Mike Wright Photography

I worked at Chester Zoo as a student through the late sixties and seventies and then when I'd finished at university, full time for a couple of years. During this time, I was taking pictures with a second hand Zenith B (which I still have and which still works).

In 1980 I left the Zoo and began teaching in Chingford in London and upgraded to a Canon AE1. After a couple of terms in Chingford, I moved to Enfield and stayed there for about the next eight years before moving down to Plymouth, teaching in Estover and Eggbuckland before retiring in 2013.

My AE1 broke in about 2000 and I didn't replace it until 2007, when I went digital with a Canon 40D. On retiring, I treated myself to a Canon 5D MkIII, which I am still using.

Thank you for visiting my website. If perchance I taught you or you know me from elsewhere, please get in touch through the contact page - it would be great to hear from you and know how you are doing.

Hope you enjoy my pictures!
